ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for the provision of consolidated, accurate and timely approvals pathway advice on all business scopes.
- Facilitating business planning, reporting, prioritisation and risk management, to de-risk business planning through accurate factoring of approval requirements and maximising business outcomes through proactively de-risking approval pathways.

Managing the Project Approvals Planning team to work effectively with key internal stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose business guidance on Approvals and Agreements, to achieve business approved schedule timeframes.
KEY TASKS
- Manage a team working closely with applicable internal business stakeholders to identify and define future business activities, and activity changes (scopes) that may require external approvals or agreements.
- Oversee the utilisation of established Approval Planning processes and systems to:
- Provide early approvals screening and appraisal advice to business scope owners as required.
- Provide clearly documented business scopes to the Functional Approvals Teams for assessment and provision of approval plans and associated schedule information.
- Consolidate integrated approval advice and status, to facilitate business planning, reporting, prioritisation and risk management.
- Communicate defined approval pathway and schedule to applicable business scope owner, for business scheduling and planning purposes.
- Establish preliminary approval schedules as required.
- Track performance against key approval schedule milestones.
- Engage across Approvals Planning team, Functional teams and business scope owners and other key stakeholders to prioritise approvals and associated approval activities.
- Establish and support communication pathways between Functional Teams and Project representatives.
- Ensure materials are accurate and aid communication at approvals planning meetings and forums.
- Effectively communicate and escalate as required identified approvals schedule risks and mitigations and monitor approval risk profile.
- Analyse approvals data and report to the business on monthly Approvals Status.
- Ensure project information is current and correct within the Integrated Approvals Schedule.
- Manage team members accordingly, to support delivery of key tasks.
- Mentor and coach team members in line with Company Values.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate and track business activity scoping and approval advice processes to completion.
- Track approvals deliverables.
- Coordinate applicable Approval Planning meetings.
- Coordinate changes that occur through the business activity scoping process.
- Escalate approval schedule items that have an unacceptable risk to business schedules.
ESSENTIAL
- More than 10 years demonstrated background of working in Mining, Approvals, Project Management or related role.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritise and manage competing demands and priorities.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide a team to implement a new process across multiple disciplines and customer groups.
DESIRABLE
- Proficiency with GIS software.
- Exposure to scheduling.
- Project Management qualifications
