Job Title: MIEC Inspection Engineer
Location: Doha (with offshore visits as required)
Function: Major Projects – Field Operations

Role Overview
The MIEC Inspection Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and timely delivery of Maintenance & Inspection Engineering (MIE) inspection and integrity activities for assigned project packages. The role ensures all inspection activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Integrity Engineering
  • Ensure Inspection and Integrity Engineering activities are executed in line with the MIEC contract.
  • Review and validate inspection deliverables, dossiers, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studies and ensure inspection requirements are addressed.
  • Ensure accurate mass loading of inspection data into CMIMS (SAP).
  • Review technical drawings and documents using the company EDMS.
  • Support inspection workshops, design reviews, FATs, and clarification resolutions.
  • Coordinate and deliver offshore MIEC scopes, including management of inspection sub‑contractors.
  • Drive implementation of digitalized inspection solutions.
Project & Contractor Interface
  • Support MIEC Contractor work package leaders on inspection‑related matters.
  • Attend weekly/monthly progress meetings and support closure of inspection actions.
  • Monitor overdue documents impacting inspection activities and highlight risks.
  • Support commissioning and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and offshore teams.
HSEQ
  • Ensure compliance with Incident Free Culture, HSE policies, and project HSEQ systems.
  • Promote HSEQ awareness and safe work practices.
  • Monitor work activities and ensure risks are properly identified and mitigated.
Context
  • Role operates in a large‑scale offshore oil & gas development environment.
  • Interfaces with multiple contractors, disciplines, and international teams.
  • Based in Doha with travel to contractor offices, fabrication yards, and offshore sites.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Inspection Engineering within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
  • Strong experience in Risk Based Inspection (RBI).
  • Experience with CMIMS (SAP).
  • Knowledge of inspection codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Medically fit for offshore work and available for site missions.
