📄 Contract Type: Freelance / Consultant 🔧 Role Overview The Instrument Leader oversees all Instrumentation & Control activities for a large‑scale industrial transformation project. This includes engineering follow‑up, technical coordination, construction supervision, and commissioning support, ensuring full compliance with project standards and safety requirements.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Instrumentation discipline throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables: instrument index, datasheets, IO lists, hook‑up, wiring, P&IDs, control philosophies, SIL/ATEX documentation.
  • Prepare technical specifications for instruments, valves, analyzers, and control packages.
  • Manage vendor clarifications, technical evaluations, FATs, and documentation approvals.
  • Supervise on‑site installation: field instruments, valves, cabling, junction boxes, marshaling and control cabinets.
  • Ensure seamless interface with Electrical, Process, Civil, Automation/ICSS, and Construction teams.
  • Support Pre‑Commissioning & Commissioning: loop checks, calibrations, functional tests, safety system verifications (SIS, F&G), and documentation updates.
  • Guarantee compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX) and project HSE requirements.
🧑‍💼 Profile Requirements
  • Engineering degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years experience on industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemical, Process).
  • Strong background in engineering coordination, field installation, and commissioning.
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation standards, hazardous area classification, and safety systems.
  • Proven experience with EPC/EPCM environments and multi‑discipline coordination.
  • Fluent in English (French is an asset).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
