Instrumentation & Controls Technician

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced I&C Technician to support the commissioning, turnover, and startup of an LNG facility. The role will focus on ensuring instrumentation, analyzers, and control systems are properly installed, calibrated, tested, and ready for safe plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform instrument calibration, loop checks, functional testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support system completion, turnover, punch-list closure, and operational readiness.
• Work with process instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.
• Support online analyzers, including GCs, moisture, and gas quality analyzers.
• Assist with turbine and process unit startup, including GE Mark VI controls, DCS, and field instrumentation.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and control narratives.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Ensure instrumentation installation and testing meet project specifications, procedures, safety requirements, and industry standards.
• Support field activities during critical commissioning and startup periods, including extended hours or night shifts when required.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of I&C experience within LNG, gas processing, or cryogenic facilities.
• Direct commissioning, completions, turnover, and startup experience.
• Strong knowledge of instrument calibration, loop checks, and functional testing.
• Experience with process measurement: pressure, temperature, flow, and level.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and control narratives.
• Familiarity with instrumentation installation practices and applicable industry standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in an operating or startup plant environment.

Preferred Experience

• GE Mark VI turbine control systems.
• Online analyzers, including GCs, moisture, and gas quality systems.
• LNG process systems and plant equipment.
