Inventory / Materials Specialist

Job Summary:

• Responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate inventory data while supporting daily material operations. This position ensures system records align with physical inventory through regular counts, data reconciliation, and cross-functional coordination. The role also includes preparing and staging raw materials for shipment or sale and safely handling materials using powered equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by updating item quantities, locations, and transactions within inventory systems or tracking tools.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic full physical inventories; analyze results to identify variances, losses, or discrepancies.
• Research inventory inconsistencies such as shortages or overages and partner with relevant teams to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping teams to align inventory records with operational activity.
• Execute inventory movements including receiving, issuing, transferring, shipping, and adjusting materials, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and on time.
• Physically collect, stage, and prepare raw materials for internal use or external shipment.
• Operate forklift equipment safely to move bar stock, forgings, and other materials in accordance with site safety standards.
• Support the Materials team with additional tasks as needed and maintain effective communication across departments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required. 
• Experience in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations. 
• Familiarity with inventory management software, spreadsheets, or databases. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Full Time / Onsite
• Schedule: Mon - Fri (40 hours weekly)
• Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm
