Senior Inventory Control Analyst Location: Cicero, IL
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Duration: Contract Position (08/10/2026 – 08/13/2027)
Pay Rate: $40.00/hour

Position Overview The Senior Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting inventory optimization initiatives, and ensuring efficient product distribution. This role analyzes inventory levels, production rates, and customer demand to determine appropriate reorder points, minimize inventory costs, and ensure product availability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, ERP experience, and a detail-oriented approach to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and revise shipment plans to ensure efficient distribution of products and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels, production rates, and product demand to maintain optimal inventory availability.
  • Analyze inventory trends and determine reorder levels to balance service levels and inventory costs.
  • Perform inventory analysis to identify discrepancies, shortages, excess inventory, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct cycle counts and support inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports, metrics, and related documentation.
  • Support inventory valuation and inventory accounting processes.
  • Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Process and maintain inventory transactions within ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, logistics, and warehouse teams to coordinate inventory activities.
  • Support inventory audits, compliance requirements, and process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in inventory control, inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or materials management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory planning, replenishment, and demand forecasting processes.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Familiarity with inventory valuation and inventory accounting practices.
