Overview
Lead delivery of the CDE Phase 2 programme, driving the migration of crude trading data to an Azure Databricks platform while ensuring delivery against scope, budget, quality, and business value objectives.

Lead delivery of the CDE Phase 2 programme, driving the migration of crude trading data to an Azure Databricks platform while ensuring delivery against scope, budget, quality, and business value objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Azure Databricks-based data platform solutions, including ODS, reporting, data products, and curated data views.
- Lead cloud migration and modernisation of legacy crude trading data assets.
- Manage programme governance, financials, RAID, resources, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
- Engage senior stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across Shell, partners, and vendors.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements, ETRM data domains, architecture standards, and technical delivery.
- Delivery of complex programmes ($10M+ budgets, 50+ resources).
- Extensive Crude & Products Trading experience.
- Strong knowledge of ETRM platforms and trading data domains (trades, risk, positions, P&L, settlements, market data).
- Proven Azure Databricks, cloud transformation, and data warehouse modernisation experience.
- Strong stakeholder management, Agile delivery, leadership, and communication skills.
- Shell Trading & Supply experience.
- Commodity trading analytics and reporting.
- Data governance and business value realisation.
- Strong critical thinking and storytelling skills.
