Position Title: JS.ITB.056 Team Leader Cloud Services & DR
Grade: NJS 13

The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Team Leader – Cloud Services and Disaster Recovery within the Infrastructure unit based in HQ - Waigani, POM.

Role Overview:
To manage the team providing Cloud Solutions to the organization country wide. To manage the team implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans for the organization. Communicate any DRP and BCP to other team leaders and ITD management for reviews and confirmations. Establish a good working relationship with other ITD team leaders to ensure the DR plans and BC Plans capture the essence of the organizational IT infrastructure. Report back to IT Management needs of the need for any technological changes. Report to Infrastructure Manager and the Director IT any issues that require escalation, intervention, approval, or opinion. National Judicial Staff Service Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with support and systems teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
  • Provides expert guidance to and coordinates the efforts of relevant Technology (infrastructure and application), Business, and other function leaders in developing, documenting, and validating recovery procedures & plans.
  • Effectively collaborate with Technology (infrastructure and application) and Security professionals in implementing sound disaster recovery related solutions.
  • Responsible for communicating status, strategic direction, and results of assigned work.
  • Inspires use of automation products to increase availability and improve business resiliency across Enterprise.
  • Develop strong relationships with business, technology, and other business stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to both planning and incident response activities with resilience.
  • Support the continued meeting of all compliance certification requirements and remain viable to facilitate an enterprise recovery from business disruption.
  • Responsible for fulfilling technology audits for respective technologies.
  • Ensures compliance with technology standards, policies, and governance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
  • 4 years in Server Infrastructure or Cloud Services roles within IT Departments or Divisions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery would be ideal.
  • Have solid working knowledge advancing technologies and their future directions.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses, as well as DR capabilities in the Cloud.

Preferred

This Team Leader – Cloud Services and Disaster Recovery role requires adaptability, sound judgement, and a strong commitment to reliable service.
