Position Title: JS.ITB.057 Digital Transformation Officer
Grade: NJS 11

The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Digital Transformation Officer within the Infrastructure unit based in HQ - Waigani, POM.

Role Overview:
To provide dedicated Disaster Recover Plans (DRP) and their implementation with the server infrastructure within the organization. Develop and implement a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the organization. Periodic testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) to ensure it is working as it should. Periodic live testing of the Business Continuity Plan to ensure its relevance and updating procedures and time windows. Report to Team Leader and Manager any issues that require their intervention, approval, or opinion. National Judicial Staff Service Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Standard Operational Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of DRP.
  • Installing DR Systems.
  • Working servers’ team to ensure DR and Replications are happening as planned.
  • Working with networking teams to plan out redundant pathways for replications and backups.
  • Backing up of Firewall, Routing and Switching configurations for redundancy.
  • Manage the backup and recovery systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Troubleshooting any DR and Replication systems issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and processes.
  • Creating documentation for technical business continuity purposes.
  • Stay informed of emerging threats and technologies impacting disaster recovery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
  • 3 years in IT Server Infrastructure Roles.
  • Relevant IT/Industry experience in DR Technologies.
  • Experience in with DR processes.
  • Experience in backup recovery.
  • Experience in Business Continuity Planning.
  • Display confidence when dealing with people, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • A natural collaborator and problem solver.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changing processes, constantly seeking process improvement.

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems or equivalent
  • 3+ years in IT Server Infrastructure Roles
