Position Title: JS.ITB.059 Team Leader-Networking
Grade: NJS 13
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Team Leader-Networking within the Infrastructure unit based in Waigani, POM.
Role Overview:
To lead the team responsible for the management of the organizations network infrastructure. Ensure advice on network outages is relayed to relevant teams and all internal parties concerned. Establish a good working relationship with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of IT services to the organization. Report back to IT Management needs of the Judges and their staff for planning purposes. Work in collaboration with the IT Teams to ensure infrastructure for any Virtual Courts are pushed out and maintained properly. Report to Manager Support Services and the Director IT any issues that require their intervention, approval, or opinion. National Judicial Staff Service Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Standard Operational Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all Network infrastructure within the Organization, covering all provinces.
- This includes management of the LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, and end points.
- Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated with the network infrastructure and its administration.
- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
- Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
- Establish service level agreements with business units.
- Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related.
- Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
- Perform other duties as required by the Manager Infrastructure and the Director IT.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
- 4 years in Network Management roles within IT Departments or Divisions.
- Strong technical knowledge in HP Switches and Routers.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco Devices.
- Experience in Network Installations and Configurations.
- Experience in Network Monitoring and Optimization.
