Position Title: JS.NCV.003 Administrative Officer
Grade: NJS 10
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Administrative Officer within the National Court Civil unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient operation of the Court Registry through the management of office supplies, handling payments, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

Role Overview:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient operation of the Court Registry through the management of office supplies, handling payments, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of office supplies, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Process payments and invoices, manage petty cash, and assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with legal and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts to achieve favourable terms.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and conduct regular audits to ensure accountability and minimize waste.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports, highlighting expenditures, budget variances, and forecasts.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Court Registry, improving workflow and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements in financial and administrative procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of court administrative functions.
- Conduct and organize training sessions for staff on financial compliance and procurement procedures.
- Diploma in Business, Finance or related field.
- Relevant experience in finance and administrative role, preferably within a legal or court environment, is essential.
- Knowledge of financial policies, procedures and regulations.
- Organization, negotiation and communications skills.
