Position Title: JS.SAM.014 Senior Inspector Process Enforcement
Grade: NJS 11
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Senior Inspector Process Enforcement within the Sheriff Enforcement unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The Senior Inspector Process Enforcement plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of the Sheriff's Office, directly supporting the Assistant Sheriff Process Enforcement. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of court orders and the enforcement of legal judgments, ensuring that the directives of the court are implemented with precision and integrity. The position is fundamental in upholding the law, maintaining public trust, and enhancing the efficacy of the Sheriff Enforcement unit.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of court orders and legal judgments, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
- Plan, organize, and oversee field operations for the enforcement team.
- Develop, review, and maintain operational protocols to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Train and guide enforcement officers in procedural and legal aspects of their duties.
- Conduct regular reviews of enforcement activities to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and legal entities, to facilitate enforcement processes.
- Report on operational activities, challenges, and outcomes to the Assistant Sheriff Process Enforcement.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on complex enforcement issues.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Diploma in Legal studies.
- At least 3 years of experience in law enforcement or legal enforcement, with a preference for those who have worked directly in process enforcement.
- Sufficient familiarity with legal procedures and court orders to execute and oversee their implementation effectively.
- A solid understanding of law enforcement tactics and the operational aspects of executing legal judgments.
- An advanced understanding of the legal framework and procedural standards governing the enforcement of court orders and judgments.
- Strong leadership and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration.
- High level of problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex enforcement scenarios.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to stay calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Degree in Law, Public Administration or related area.
- Prior supervisory experience within a legal or law enforcement agency, with specific experience in process enforcement.
