Title: Junior Integrity Lifecycle Engineer
Duration: 1 year 
Location: Calgary

The Opportunity The Pipe Integrity Engineering Services department within the Safety & Technical Services organization is seeking a Junior Integrity Lifecycle Engineer to join the Pipeline Engineering Services / Integrity Lifecycle Team. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between Pipe Integrity, Commercial, and Project teams. You will support timely technical solutions, manage operationally driven technical and physical changes, and ensure seamless asset integration across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement & Project Support
  • Facilitate collaboration between Pipe Integrity, Projects, and Project Services on growth projects of all sizes, including pipeline, compression, and measurement initiatives.
  • Support a range of activities such as engineering reviews, due diligence studies, construction support, variance and non‑conformance reporting (NCR), lessons learned implementation, baseline assessment planning, and project integration/turnover.
Regulatory & Community Relations
  • Support regulatory and community relations processes, including preparation and review of regulatory applications.
  • Assist in responding to Information Requests (IRs) and ensure compliance with project regulatory commitments and conditions.
Operational Change Management
  • Scope, manage, and/or implement operational technical and physical changes such as:
    • Facility relicensing or reactivation
    • Flow capacity and operating pressure increases
    • Piping modifications
    • Flow reversals
    • Asset decommissioning, divestiture, and abandonment (DDA)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a P.Eng. with APEGA or an equivalent engineering governing body
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience (excluding co‑op/internship terms)
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of pipeline integrity, facility integrity, or regional field operations
  • Familiarity with Project Delivery Standard (PDS), SAP, Management of Change (MOC), and Integrity Management Program (IMP)
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as CSA Z662, OPR, DPR, and the CER Filing Manual
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to identify issues and propose practical solutions
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • Ability to provide a driver’s abstract upon request
  • Field work may be required
