We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and non‑routine laboratory testing that supports safe, reliable, and compliant oil and gas processing operations. In this role, you will ensure product quality, assist with process optimization, and provide accurate, timely data to operations and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples of crude oil, condensate, natural gas, produced water, and other process streams.
- Conduct laboratory analyses including:
- API gravity, viscosity, and density
- BS&W, water content, salt analysis
- Sulfur, H₂S, and contaminant testing
- Gas composition testing (e.g., GC)
- Produced water quality (oil‑in‑water, pH, conductivity, etc.)
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record and maintain accurate test documentation using lab logs, databases, and reporting tools.
- Communicate results to operations, engineering, and quality teams in a timely manner.
- Support troubleshooting of process upsets with analytical data and observations.
- Maintain lab compliance with company procedures, ASTM/API standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized laboratory and manage chemical inventory and waste properly.
- Follow all safety and HSE procedures, including proper handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of laboratory experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial processing environments preferred.
- Experience with pH testing and operation of pH meters.
- Familiarity with gas chromatographs, analyzers, titration equipment, and related laboratory instruments.
- Experience with wet chemistry techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an operations team.
