Job Title: Laboratory Technician II
Duration: 12 months
Work Location: Houston, TX
Rate: $34 per hour

Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician II will support Research & Technology operations by performing both routine and non‑routine laboratory analyses on product and in‑process samples to ensure high‑quality data generation in support of plant and research activities. This role works closely with laboratory supervisors and chemists, following established procedures and analytical methods to maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct wet chemistry analyses and analytical testing on a variety of process and product samples to support QA/QC and operational decision‑making.
  • Prepare, handle, and analyze samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and test equipment.
  • Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and preparation standards as required.
  • Generate accurate data, maintain laboratory records and documentation, and ensure all results meet established quality standards.
  • Assist lab personnel in addressing quality concerns or process issues through analytical support.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment while adhering to safety, environmental, and workplace guidelines.
  • Work under moderate supervision while demonstrating technical competency and sound judgment on assigned tasks.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Polytechnic graduate with an academic background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory testing methods and instrumentation.
  • Computer‑literate with the ability to perform documentation and basic data management.
  • Prior experience in quality control systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures and established laboratory practices.
Ability to work in a technical research or plant‑support laboratory setting with moderate work direction
