Lead HVAC Engineer (Onshore EPC/EPSCC Project) Responsible for the HVAC discipline on a major onshore oil & gas processing facility, overseeing engineering, contractor performance, technical compliance, and delivery throughout detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HVAC engineering activities across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Manage EPC contractor and vendor deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Review and approve HVAC designs, calculations, layouts, technical queries, deviations, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and provide technical support to construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Identify and manage technical, schedule, and execution risks, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
  • Support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, constructability, and operational safety reviews, ensuring safety-by-design principles are embedded throughout the project.
  • Participate in FATs, SATs, system integration testing, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance, engineering progress, quality, and deliverable schedules to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure compliance with permit-to-work, SIMOPS, and company safety requirements.
Environment:

  • International assignment supporting detailed engineering and site execution activities.
  • Reporting to the Onshore Engineering Manager and working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
Profile:

  • Extensive HVAC engineering experience within oil & gas, energy, or large industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC project execution, contractor management, commissioning, and operational readiness.
  • Proven ability to manage technical interfaces, risks, scope changes, and stakeholder engagement in complex project environments.
