Lead Mechanical Engineer

Position: Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Perth
Reports to: Group Manager - Engineering

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-quality mechanical design outputs and drawings.
• Review project mechanical drawings to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Complete engineering calculations and designs in accordance with project, client and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, engineering documentation and scopes of work.
• Identify scope changes and prepare supporting documentation.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is correctly specified and sourced to meet project requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8+ years post-graduate experience, ideally within mineral processing.
• Strong mechanical engineering design and calculation capability.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical skills.
• Strong organisational, time management and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail with broad multidisciplinary awareness.
