Lead Project Controls

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Project Controls to support a portfolio of brownfield ramp‑up projects from initiation through execution, commissioning, and handover to operations. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets, contributing to world‑class, cost‑efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, cost control, and cost estimating across multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules from design through commissioning and handover
  • Assess schedule impacts, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets; implement cost control measures
  • Review contractor schedules and cost inputs; integrate into owner schedules and reports
  • Prepare regular cost and schedule reports for management
  • Maintain risk registers and contribute to lessons learned
  • Ensure governance, compliance with procedures, and “best for project” decision‑making
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, commissioning, procurement, and operations teams
About You

  • Diploma or higher in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in project controls within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry
  • Strong capability in Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera Cloud (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel for project accounting and cost control
  • Proven experience managing schedules and costs across a portfolio of projects
  • Highly analytical, decisive, and an effective communicator able to work with diverse stakeholders
