An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Project Engineer to join a major industrial and energy project. This is a key position within the Project Management Team, responsible for integrating engineering, construction, procurement, interface management and project execution activities throughout the full project lifecycle. This role is based in Palma, Mallorca.

Working closely with senior project leadership, you will help ensure that engineering solutions are practical, constructible, cost-effective and aligned with project objectives from early development through to commissioning.
This role combines technical leadership, project coordination and team mentoring, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys influencing outcomes across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the Project Management Team.
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines to ensure a consistent and integrated design approach.
  • Manage interfaces between contractors, vendors, engineering disciplines and operational stakeholders.
  • Lead technical risk management and management of change processes.
  • Support permitting, authorisation and regulatory activities.
  • Develop and oversee modularisation and constructability strategies.
  • Ensure construction and installation requirements are incorporated into engineering design from an early stage.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, specifications and engineering deliverables.
  • Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor engagement.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies and constructability workshops.
  • Provide technical support during construction, resolving technical queries and field issues.
  • Support project execution planning, governance processes and technical assurance activities.
  • Monitor scope, schedule and cost impacts arising from technical decisions and project changes.
  • Promote compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations.
