Lead QA/QC Engineer
The role is for a Lead QA/QC Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality of all engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and modification activities within various projects, including onshore and offshore.
Key Responsibilities (What you will tell the candidate):

• You will prepare and implement ITPs and ensure all QA/QC procedures (welding, NDT, inspections, material receiving, pressure testing) are followed on the project.
• You will lead and supervise QA/QC Inspectors, contract engineers, and NDT technicians — especially during construction and shutdown activities.
• You will conduct metallurgical failure investigations and provide recommendations for repair/replacement.
• You will work closely with the procurement team, reviewing technical requirements, inspection needs, and third-party inspection reports.
• You will review and approve WPS/PQR, repair procedures, contractor QA/QC documents, and all critical inspection reports.
• You will participate in project execution, shutdown meetings, RCFA, EMOC, and lessons-learned workshops from a QA/QC perspective.
• You will conduct audits of suppliers and contractors, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and maintain quality standards.
• You will ensure timely inspection and certification of gas cylinders, lifting equipment, and tanks.
• Promote quality awareness through training and technical sessions for project teams and contractors.

Minimum Requirements (Explain to candidate):

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering
• 12+ years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas
• Strong background in welding, NDT, fabrication, inspection, and troubleshooting QA/QC issues
• Experience with EPC, shutdowns, construction, vendor inspections
• Certifications in Welding, NDT, Inspection, or Auditing (e.g., CSWIP, AWS, ASNT, ISO 9001)
• Good leadership skills to supervise QA/QC teams and interact with multiple stakeholders
