NES Fircroft is looking for a hands-on Lean Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering Specialist to support shop floor improvements in a turbine repair and assembly environment.
This person will focus on time studies, material presentation, assembly workstation setup, workflow improvement, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

This person will focus on time studies, material presentation, assembly workstation setup, workflow improvement, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies to review labor efficiency, process flow, and bottlenecks.
- Support the design and setup of assembly workstations.
- Improve material presentation and point-of-use material flow.
- Identify waste, delays, and process gaps on the shop floor.
- Support Lean tools such as 5S, standard work, visual management, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Work with operations, quality, engineering, materials, and shop leadership.
- Help improve productivity, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Track improvement activity and report progress to leadership.
Required Experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Continuous Improvement.
- Hands-on experience with time studies, workflow improvement, and shop floor optimization.
- Experience with assembly workstations, material flow, or production layout.
- Manufacturing, aerospace, turbine repair, rotating equipment, or industrial background preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work directly with shop floor teams and leadership.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Experience with 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and value stream mapping.
- Strong Excel and reporting skill
