Our client, an energy sector service company, are currently hiring a Logistics and Warehouse Co-ordinator in Aberdeen.

Role: Logistics and Warehouse Co-ordinator
Work Location: Aberdeen, there may be some business travel to Ågotnes, Bergen but this is not yet confirmed.
Business/Corporate Unit: PDE (Project Development & Execution)
Accountable Manager: Procurement Manager

Role Summary
The Logistics and Warehouse Co-ordinator is reporting to the Contracts and Procurement Manager will be an integral part of the Project Supply Chain & Procurement Team, working collaboratively within the project organisation, in alignment with the supply chain function, using systems, procedures, and established processes.
• Accountable for the management of all logistics activities, and warehouse matters related to the project.
• Support purchasers in expediting activities, ensuring that materials are delivered timely, in a cost-effective and complete condition along with complete documentation in accordance with contract requirements
• Ensure material received is fully accounted for during the execution phase until handover to operations team.

Accountabilities
• Ensure that the day-to-day activities within the team are carried out in accordance
with the company HSEQ policies  
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations,
contractual requirements, and our Management Systems 
• Be fully responsible for the safety in their area of authority 
• Ensure all logistic and warehouse activities for the project is carried out according to
AP303 Expediting & Logistics Procedure and AP304 Management of Inventory &
Warehouses, and other established Supply Chain Processes
• Further develop and optimize the project logistics processes in association with freight forwarder, the established Logistic and Warehouse function, and project team
• Co-ordinate suppliers, logistics partners, and freight forwarding agent to ensue all
logistics activities, including packing and documentation comply with laws and
regulations and requirements
• Ensure required documentation is checked before materials is dispatched from
suppliers and subcontractors, and that delivery notifications are provided timely to the
project team
• Ensure timely preliminary recording of goods receipt according to delivery note
• Ensure inspection and final goods receipt of all delivered goods to the project, in
close cooperation with counterpart in Operations
• Report OS&Ds and follow up on discrepancies in close cooperation with purchasing
team
• Co-ordinate with yard, logistic partners and freight forwarder to ensure Customs
clearance in a timely manner
• Keep track and traceability of suppliers and subcontractor materials throughout the
procurement cycle until handover to operations
• Work closely with warehousing counterparts to ensure safekeeping, traceability and
adequate preservation of all project materials
• Support with expediting activities and update systems, and report delays, as required
• Co-ordinate with stakeholders in projects and operations team to ensure
spares and supplies for preservation, maintenance, and start-up are available in time
manner
• Keep track of quantity delivered, stock levels, material transactions, transport costs
and ensure efficiency for project materials
• Co-ordinate with freight forwarder to document deliveries and process billing
• Maintain good working relationship with freight forwarder and internal stakeholders
• Prepare status report for management, as required

Skills and Experience
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience within supply chain and logistics
management, gained within projects in the offshore industry 
• Experience with handling of international logistics and custom clearance in UK
• Experienced in coordinating projects across the full procurement and logistics cycle
• Structured and strong organisational and documentation handling skills
• Committed to the highest level of business ethics and integrity 
• Good negotiation skills 
• Good communications skills, both written and verbally 
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Qualifications
• Relevant education or business qualification in Supply Chain Management
• Advanced English language
