Location: Azerbaijan (Onshore Base / Offshore Support Operations)

Overview An exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Base Manager to lead the operational readiness, performance, and day-to-day management of a logistics base supporting offshore production and drilling activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, handling, and delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies required to support complex offshore operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a logistics base supporting offshore production, drilling, and project activities.
• Coordinate the handling, storage, transportation, and delivery of equipment, tubulars, chemicals, consumables, spare parts, and other operational materials.
• Oversee warehouse, yard, pipe-yard, and jetty operations, ensuring safe and efficient cargo movements.
• Coordinate closely with drilling, marine, supply chain, procurement, aviation, projects, and offshore operational teams.
• Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities and ensure timely delivery of critical materials to offshore assets.
• Manage logistics contractors and service providers, monitoring performance, KPIs, service levels, and costs.
• Identify operational constraints and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Maintain logistics readiness and contingency plans to support changes in operational programmes and schedules.
• Participate in logistics planning, budgeting, contractor evaluations, and operational reporting. 

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations and operational procedures.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ensure effective emergency preparedness and response arrangements are maintained.
• Exercise stop-work authority whenever there is a threat to personnel, assets, or the environment. 

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in logistics, supply base operations, offshore support, or industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of materials handling, lifting operations, warehousing, transportation, and marine logistics.
• Experience managing contractors, operational performance, budgets, and service delivery.
• Knowledge of Permit to Work systems, Control of Work processes, risk assessment, and safety management.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent English required. 

Ideal Background Candidates with experience supporting offshore oil & gas, drilling campaigns, marine operations, or large-scale industrial projects will be particularly well suited to this position. The role requires a hands-on operational leader capable of ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable logistics support for critical field operations.
