We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to support a project team with equipment transportation planning and logistics execution.
Contract Details
- Approx. 10 hours per week
- 4-6 week assignment
- Remote working
- Develop and coordinate project logistics plans for equipment and material deliveries.
- Prepare RFQs for freight forwarders and evaluate logistics proposals.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with schedules, customs requirements, and Incoterms.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide logistics updates to the project team.
- Support site delivery planning, including unloading, storage, lifting, and access requirements.
A key part of this assignment will be the ability to review and interpret vendor technical drawings and documentation to support transportation planning. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Review and analyse vendor drawings, packing lists, and technical documentation to identify transportation constraints such as dimensions, weights, lifting requirements, centre of gravity considerations, and special handling requirements.
- Verify transport limits, packaging requirements, lifting points, and shipment readiness based on equipment drawings and vendor documentation.
- Identify potential logistics risks early and provide recommendations to ensure safe and efficient transportation of equipment.
- Proven experience in project logistics, freight forwarding, or heavy equipment transportation.
- Strong ability to review and interpret engineering/vendor drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Experience within EPC, EPCM, energy, petrochemical, chemical, or industrial projects preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
