Job Purpose
Provide technical advisory and hands-on support for machinery control systems during EPC and startup phases, ensuring safe, reliable, and maintainable operations before handover to asset teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design reviews, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of machinery control systems (GE, CCC, DCS, DLN tuning).
- Review and validate control schemes for gas turbines, steam turbines, and VFD-driven equipment to ensure reliability and cybersecurity.
- Develop and review testing procedures (surge tests, performance runs, DLN tuning).
- Participate in FATs and verify equipment performance against design and OEM standards.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities, system tuning, and performance optimization.
- Monitor contractor and vendor activities, ensuring compliance with project and operational standards.
- Conduct failure analysis, support warranty resolution, and manage changes (MOC).
- Maintain issue registers and mitigate risks impacting reliability and availability.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant discipline).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas or similar industry.
- Strong expertise in machinery control systems (GE, CCC, DCS, DLN tuning).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in technical and office applications.
