Maintenance Contracts Engineer

NES Fircroft are looking for a Maintenance Contracts Engineer to join a major operator in Mozambique. This position is working on a large LNG project, and will start in Milan initially before going on a 28.28 rotation in Afungi, Mozambique.

You will manage all Contract activities for the plant ensuring they are conducting Maintenance and Inspection activities efficiently whilst maintaining the technical integrity and the plant target availability

RESPONSIBILITIES

HSE RESPONSIBILITES

• Adhere to HSE, Company policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
• Demonstrate safety leadership by working safely, highlight any potential incidents or dangerous situations.
• Contribute towards continual HSE improvement of safety behaviour for the role and others.
• Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired training and apply them to on site tasks, ensure team and vendor compliance.
• Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In Project phase:

• Follow on a regular basis the progress of Work Package 6 done by MIEC for all disciplines.
• Coordinate material and spare parts purchasing for Maintenance and other Departments.
• Ensure expiditing follow-up of spares and material in liaison with project logistic, C&P, Procurement factory
• Coordinate contract planning for Maintenance and other Departments
• Execute below activities in the frame of preparation phase

In Operations:

• Ensure safety of personnel, environment protection, and the technical integrity of equipment’s in his domain of activities, implement HSE rules and follow procedures.
• Coordinate contract planning for Maintenance and other Departments.
• Liaise with Contract and Procurement Department to update progress in contracts SOW, tenders, award.
• Prepare Purchase Requests and Call-Offs.
• Check contractor invoicing every month and progress of expenditures vs budget for each contract.
• Ensure compliance with contract deliverables, quality, safety and performance.
• Coordinate with other maintenance services development of technical scope of work for new contracts, scope change, and modifications
• Prepare Call for Tenders in liaison with responsible entity and C&P.
• Evaluate Technical offers in liaison with responsible entity.
• Provide recommendations for contractor pre-qualification.
• Organize quarterly discussions with contractors.
• Ensure Maintenance KPI’s are maintained and reported

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent knowledge of Oil & Gas / LNG equipment’s, maintenance, repair and methods.
• Good knowledge of large rotating equipment’s (gas turbines, compressors, expanders, pumps…) and LNG loading arms.
• Good knowledge of maintenance SAP PM module CMIMS.
• Good knowledge of Company Contracts communication tool i.e. Ariba
• Good knowledge of computer applications and methods.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualifications:

• Bachelor of higher education in Rotating/Mechanical, Instrumentation/Control or Electrical Engineering or Business, or equivalent with international standard and solid experience

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
• Minimum 10 years in Senior Maintenance Positions
• Minimum 7 years in Contracts
