The Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist Instrumentation will manage all necessary Engineering Maintenance Instrumentation activities for conducting Maintenance efficiently and ensuring the technical integrity & required availability of equipment’s.
HSE RESPONSIBILITES
- Adhere to HSE and Company policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
- Promote continuously safety culture inside Maintenance Department.
- Work safely, avoid any incident and dangerous situation, contribute towards continual HSE improvement, demonstrate safety behaviour for himself and others.
- Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired trainings and apply them on site, ensure team and vendor compliance.
- Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety of personnel, environment protection, and the technical integrity of equipment’s in his domain of activities, implement HSE rules and follow procedures.
- Occasionally participate in the near misses analyses, HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessment, safety audits, RCA, incidents and accidents analyses.
- Lead the Instrumentation Engineering Specialist Team.
- Review periodically the preventive Instrumentation maintenance plans and adjust frequencies and tasks.
- Supervise and ensure the coherence of the scheduling of all Instrumentation work requests.
- Coordinate preparation and updating of monthly reports on key performance indicators (preventive, corrective, performance, cost, budget follow up) compiled by the section, to be further submitted to higher management.
- Provide necessary guidance and technical expertise to all Instrumentation maintenance operations to achieve maintenance of facilities at minimum cost.
- Make sure review of documentation, procedures, safety manual and other related documents are done regularly and documents archived.
- Produce new procedures as necessary, in line with Company Maintenance Policy
- Validate and approve maintenance procedures, ensure procedures are in line with Company Maintenance Policy and implemented
- Ensure quality control of execution during maintenance activities.
- Provide Plant Maintenance and Reliability teams with advice & guidance in solving technical problems.
- Ensure root cause analysis of failure is done where necessary, improve reliability and reduce the number of technical failures.
- Ensure that adequate provision is made for the availability of spare parts and materials for all maintenance works. This includes the periodic review of stock, the identification and ordering of direct materials and the preparation of financial justification.
- Coordinate contract site Instrumentation activities, ensure compliance with contract deliverables, quality, safety and performance.
- Coordinate development of technical work scope of contracts, review documents, and give recommendations for contractors pre-qualification.
- Supervise vendors for provision of specialist control systems and instrumentation services, including participating in development of technical work scope of contracts.
- Initiate and implement Instrumentation modification proposals, through Management of Change system
- Give inputs for Instrumentation discipline to maintain Asset Reference Plan (ARP)
- Provides site technological watch for Instrumentation discipline using exchanges with HQ
- Manage development of employees and especially Nationals to obtain maximum performance for the company.
- Participate at the identification of training needs and ensure the proper implementation of approved training development programs within his department.
- Discuss with and set up objectives on an annual basis for subordinates and review on a regular basis.
- Perform end of year appraisals.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent knowledge of Instrumentation equipment, systems integration and methods.
- Excellent knowledge of International Instrumentation safety systems standards (including ATEX / IECEx)
- Excellent knowledge of international applicable codes & standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 &2, ISO related to Instrumentation machinery and environment)
- Good knowledge of maintenance SAP (like CMMS).
- Good Knowledge of computer applications and methods.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of higher education in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience
- Minimum 20 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
- Minimum 10 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals
- Experience of working with equipment such as Centrifugal compressors control and anti-surge systems, Turbines control and protection, Natural gas processing control and instrumentation, Analytical instruments, DCS, PLC utilization requirements, Loading arms instruments, FGS maintenance practice
