Manufacturing Engineer II – Precision CNC Programming Specialist

Are you a skilled manufacturing engineer ready to take your CNC programming expertise to the next level? Join a dynamic heavy-manufacturing environment where precision, innovation, and collaboration drive success. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will develop, optimize, and verify complex CNC programs using advanced CAD/CAM platforms like Mastercam, Siemens NX, and Esprit 2000, supporting multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding operations. Your work will directly impact the production of large-scale, high-value components, ensuring machining accuracy, efficiency, and process reliability.
Bring your hands-on machining experience and deep understanding of macro-based routines—including Fanuc Macro B, Okuma, Renishaw probing, and Siemens macros—to improve manufacturing processes and operator proficiency. You’ll play a key role in creating standard work instructions, quality documentation, and tooling strategies that keep production running smoothly, all while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, high-precision setting.

  • Practical machining knowledge with exotic materials and large-scale components (up to 50,000 lbs)
  • Ability to generate and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding
  • Experience using Vericut or comparable CNC verification software
  • Strong communication skills to train operators and support manufacturing engineers
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a matrixed organization
Nice to Have Skills
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Inventor or NX
  • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Project management experience and strong organizational skills
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution preferred
  • Alternatively, high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience, plus 2 additional years in a manufacturing engineering or related role
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
  • Comfortable operating in a heavy-manufacturing environment with large, complex components
  • Capability to support operator training and continuous improvement initiatives
