Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Material Specialist to join their Energy Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and continuously improving material master data to support asset reliability, maintenance planning, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent data across systems, including SAP and Master Data Online (MDO).

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and validate Material Master Data to support Energy Operations and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Manage and update SAP material records, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and PM Assemblies, in collaboration with Engineering Reliability and Maintenance teams.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with SAP Master Data Standards, ANCI, and ATI frameworks.
  • Utilise Master Data Online (MDO) to streamline data governance, approvals, and change management processes.
  • Support implementation of updates derived from Maintenance Strategy Reviews and ensure timely execution of SAP Notifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of legacy data to ensure accuracy and alignment with standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve material data processes and system integration.
Qualifications
  • Trade qualification or equivalent technical background.
  • Background in the mining or energy sector 
  • Experience in materials management and master data (essential)
  • Proficiency in SAP (essential), MDO, and familiarity with ANCI and ATI standards.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Management, Maintenance Planning, and Work Management processes (essential).
  • Knowledge of Power Generation/Transmission and Master Data governance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
