Our client is seeking a Material Handling Assistant to support a major industrial construction project in Dresden, Germany.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient material flow, inventory control, and logistics coordination throughout the project, working closely with the Material Manager, contractors, and construction teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient material flow, inventory control, and logistics coordination throughout the project, working closely with the Material Manager, contractors, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Control the flow of materials using standard company procedures and equipment, ensuring that all materials are available on time and in the required quality and quantity.
- Verify the conformity of incoming deliveries and prepare the relevant inspection reports.
- Coordinate and document the handover of materials to contractors.
- Verify that materials are stored correctly and report any discrepancies.
- Inform and report to the Material Manager on all relevant material-related matters.
- Manage local procurement activities as required.
- Provide functional support to all departments and work areas involved in material control.
- Coordinate the material-related activities of construction subcontractors.
- Monitor subcontractors' performance within the assigned discipline to ensure compliance with logistics documentation and the project schedule.
Requirements
- Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, logistics, or construction projects.
- Good understanding of inventory control and material management processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/material management systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are beneficial.
