Title: Materials Analyst
Location: Stafford, TX 77477
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Environment: Industrial
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Rate: $28–$35 p/hour

Job Summary
The Materials Analyst is responsible for analyzing material usage, inventory levels, costs, and supply trends to support efficient operations and data‑driven decision‑making. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze material usage, inventory levels, and demand trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain Excel‑based reports, dashboards, and tracking tools (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
  • Monitor material costs and support cost‑reduction and optimization initiatives.
  • Track inventory accuracy and support cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Identify data discrepancies and investigate root causes.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports to operations, supply chain, and management teams.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and procurement through data analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to ensure material availability.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and generating actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or other data query tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross‑functional teams.
