Pay Rate: $22.22/hr – $26.29/hr
Role Overview
The Material Analyst is responsible for ensuring material conformity, traceability, and quality compliance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This role requires a strong foundation in quality inspection, material verification, and technical documentation, with the ability to work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
Material & Quality Analysis
- Inspect incoming materials, WIP, and finished goods to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Verify material certifications, traceability records, and inspection documentation
- Support receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Identify, document, and escalate material nonconformances
- Apply knowledge of ISO-based quality systems to material handling and inspection processes
- Support internal quality audits and corrective action activities
- Assist with root cause analysis for material-related quality issues
- Maintain accurate inspection records and material reports in QMS systems
- Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve material issues
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and material specs to confirm conformance
- Utilize precision measuring tools to validate material and part characteristics
- Leverage machining knowledge to assess manufacturability and material condition
- Document inspection results, deviations, and dispositions
- Track quality metrics related to material performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction and material efficiency
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, inspection, or materials-related roles
- Strong background in Quality Control / Quality Assurance inspection
- Prior experience working in or alongside CNC machining environments
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment
- Solid understanding of material traceability and inspection documentation
- ISO 9001 experience or certifications (Internal Auditor a strong plus)
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with nonconformance management and corrective actions
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure
- Ability to translate machining experience into material and quality analysis, not production machining
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Quality-focused mindset versus production output focus
