Measurement Analyst

Location
: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Rate: $44-$48 /hr
Employment Type: 12-month contract  

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Measurement Analyst to support midstream operations by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of gas measurement data. This role focuses on validating, analyzing, and reporting volumetric and compositional data used for revenue allocation, accounting, and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate has experience with gas measurement analysis, familiarity with FlowCal, and the ability to consistently meet strict monthly deadlines.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-close measurement procedures within required timelines
  • Validate, analyze, and reconcile gas measurement data for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve measurement discrepancies and variances
  • Compile and deliver finalized measurement data to accounting, marketing, and commercial teams
  • Support monthly close processes, including allocation, settlement, and balancing activities
  • Apply established measurement standards and internal procedures to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues and ensure timely reporting
  • Prepare reports and maintain detailed documentation for audit and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and resolving variances
  • Experience working with measurement data systems (FlowCal preferred)
  • Strong understanding of gas measurement fundamentals, including orifice meter operations
  • Ability to apply industry standards for gas measurement calculations and interpretation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or higher), Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle time-sensitive tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
  Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in midstream measurement operations
  • Experience with electronic flow measurement systems, flow computers, or SCADA data
  • Familiarity with measurement testing tools (such as TestIT)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Experience troubleshooting and calibrating measurement systems
