Position Overview ExxonMobil is seeking a Contract Measurement Drafting Specialist to support the Measurement Department in producing and maintaining accurate Site Facility Diagrams (SFDs) for oil and gas operations. The role includes a blend of office-based drafting work and on-site field verification to ensure all diagrams meet regulatory expectations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new Site Facility Diagrams (SFDs) for measurement sites using Muddy Boots Online (MBO).
  • Review, update, and correct existing SFDs to accurately represent current equipment and measurement configurations.
  • Conduct field visits to validate equipment layout, flow direction, and measurement points.
  • Work closely with Measurement Foremen, Engineers, and Operations personnel to gather data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure all diagrams comply with regulatory agencies (e.g., BLM, state authorities) and company quality requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of SFD revisions and updates within company systems.
  • Assist with audits and inspections by providing accurate and current facility documentation.
Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical drafting or CAD certification preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in oil and gas measurement or drafting preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Lease Operator is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
Skills
  • High attention to detail with strong ability to interpret P&IDs and facility schematics.
  • Capable of working independently in both office and field settings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Collaborative, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field locations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs and traverse catwalks as needed.
Work Environment
  • Office: Drafting, documentation, and review tasks.
  • Field: On-site facility verification requiring PPE and adherence to all safety procedures.
