The Mechanical Technician is an essential member of a collaborative team of mechanics and technicians who ensure the safe and precise execution of engine testing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work rotating Day, Swing, and Grave shifts.
- Operate automotive test engines and vehicles following established specifications.
- Monitor test operations, adjusting control systems to maintain compliance and performance.
- Diagnose issues and perform mechanical and system repairs on test engines and control systems.
- Ensure a consistent fuel supply for all engines and test vehicles.
- Apply strong mechanical aptitude to support daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in the following:
- Working with automotive engines or mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience in a technical or mechanical environment
- General automotive engine knowledge gained through recent education or work as a mechanic
- Experience monitoring and adjusting process control systems
- Basic algebra-level math skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
