NES Fircroft are currently sourcing for a Metallurgical Technician to join the oeprational team of an iron ore miner at their Pilbara site operations
Benefits
- Hourly rate of $50 per hour + superannuation
- 6‑month contract with potential for extension
- 2:1 FIFO roster to an iron ore operation in the Pilbara
- Work within a well‑supported processing and laboratory team
- Exposure to large‑scale iron ore beneficiation and plant optimisation activities
- Experience in metallurgical sampling, test work, or mineral processing operations
- Understanding of iron ore processing circuits such as crushing, screening, and beneficiation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Comfortable working in a remote FIFO environment on a 2:1 roster
- Safety‑focused, proactive, and able to work effectively within a small technical team
- Conduct routine plant sampling, laboratory test work, and data collection
- Monitor plant performance and report on key metallurgical indicators
- Assist with troubleshooting and improvement initiatives across processing circuits
- Maintain accurate logs, sample records, and daily metallurgical reports
- Follow all site procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
