About the Role
Reporting to the Mine Manager, you’ll provide critical engineering support and deliver technical solutions that drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective underground operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop short, medium, and long-term underground mine plans.
- Ensure plans are accurate, compliant, and aligned with operational objectives.
- Prepare conceptual plans detailing budget requirements for ore and waste movements.
- Design dig/dump sequences and drill & blast plans tailored for underground conditions.
- Apply cost-benefit analysis to optimise performance and reduce costs.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in underground mine engineering or planning.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (preferred but not essential).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Deswik and Spry Scheduling highly regarded.
- A collaborative mindset and results-driven approach.
