- The Module Supervisor is responsible for overseeing fabrication, outfitting, and mechanical completion of assigned FPU topside modules through to MS6 readiness, ensuring work is executed safely, to specification, and in line with schedule and quality requirements.
- This role sits between engineering, construction crews, and QA/QC, translating drawings into physical reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction & Fabrication
- Supervise day-to-day installation activities within assigned modules
- Ensure structural, piping, mechanical, and E&I works are executed per IFC drawings
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to avoid clashes and rework
- Monitor progress against the schedule and flag risks early
- MS6 / Module Completion Focus
- Drive modules toward mechanical completion and client acceptance
- Ensure punch lists are identified, tracked, and closed to agreed MS6 criteria
- Verify preservation, tagging, and handover documentation for completed modules
- Quality & Compliance
- Enforce QA/QC procedures and support inspections and walkdowns
- Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project specs and class requirements
- Enforce site HSE rules and toolbox talks
- Intervene immediately on unsafe acts or conditions
- Promote a safety-first culture without slowing progress unnecessarily
- Coordination & Reporting
- Interface with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, and Outfitting teams
- Provide clear daily progress updates and constraint reporting
- Support integration and load-out planning as modules near MS6
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience supervising offshore modules or topsides (FPU, FPSO, platform)
- Strong understanding of module fabrication and MS6-type milestones
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication and layout drawings
- Confident in managing multi-disciplinary crews
- Yard/brownfield experience desirable
- Desirable Previous FPU or FPSO conversion project experience
- Familiarity with class and client inspection processes
