NES Fircroft is supporting a major oil and gas operator in the Surat Basin and is seeking an experienced MPD Choke Operator to join their drilling operations based in Roma, Queensland. This role will support Managed Pressure Drilling operations on site, working closely with the drilling and well engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient well delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor MPD choke systems during drilling operations
- Maintain wellbore pressure within defined parameters
- Respond to pressure anomalies and operational changes in real time
- Work closely with rig crews, drilling engineers and MPD specialists
- Ensure all MPD activities comply with company standards and safety requirements
- Accurately record operational data and contribute to daily reporting
- Proven experience as an MPD Choke Operator on land rigs
- Hands on experience with Insite, GBSetPoint and Kernel MPD systems
- Strong understanding of well control principles and MPD operations
- Current well control certification preferred
- Ability to work a 28 days on 28 days off roster in Roma, Queensland
- Full Australian working rights are essential
- 6 month initial contract with strong potential to extend
- Competitive daily rate
