NES Fircroft are delighted to be working with a market leading Oil & Gas Operator who are recruiting for an NDE Specialist based in the UAE to support a major project in Iraq.
Activities:
Quality Assurance
• Compliance to the Project Management System documentation
• Ensure the contractor/supplier NDE requirements as per the Contract, Project Specifications etc;
• Coordination and support in execution of audit schedules,
• Execution of Quality planning,
• Inputs to the EPC Contractor Equipment Criticality Assessments activities
• Coordination of Vendor, Contractor NDE activities , etc.
• Liaise with HQ NDE Department specialist
Inspection/Contractor/Vendor Management
• Ensure all Contractor/Sub-Contractor NDE Procedures are created, communicated, followed, and periodically reviewed and approved prior to start of work
• Ensure all the Vendors/Sub-Vendors NDE Procedures are reviewed and approved prior start of Work
• Review and Provide inputs to the Contractor, Sub-Contractor, Vendor and Sub-Vendor ITP as required
• Ensure all the NDE activities in the project are carried out by Qualified NDE Technicians/Operators
• Ensure the key metrics set for NDE are monitored and complied effectively by Contractor
• Attend Pre-Inspection Meetings if required
• Provide inputs if any concerns noted in the Inspection/Quality Surveillance reports generated by the Company Surveillance/Inspection personnel
• Coordinate with Package Quality Engineers, SMEs (Welding, Painting/Coating) Inspection Coordinator and Engineering, Package Engineers and other relevant departments.
• Liaise with HQ SME as required to ensure consistency with TTE practice and get lesson learnt from other projects.
• Coordinate with Site QA/QC Superintendents and inspectors on site and in Vendor premises as required
Audit
• Plan, conduct and assist in compliance audits, self-audits and inspections.
• Participate in key customer quality reviews.
• Ensure all regulatory compliance and standards are met.
• Maintain comprehensive audit, response and action matrices.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Qualification: Engineering degree (Preferable)
• NDE qualifications-PCN Level-III or Equivalent as a minimum in PAUT/TOFD ,UT,PT,MT,RT methods
• Conversant in all the EPC phase activities
• Conversant in products like piping, Valves, Pipeline etc;
• Conversant in handling Engineering and Procurement QA/QC Process especially handling the Vendor purchase orders from TBE to IRN stage with minimal supervision when required.
• Experience and conversant in entire pipeline construction sequence and related NDE activities
• Expertise in advanced NDE methods like Automated Ultrasonic Testing, Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and its related ECA, calibration, validation requirements
• Conversant in other Conventional NDE methods like RT, UT, PT and MT
• Continuously holding the Certification for minimum of 10 years
• Capable of carrying out both Manual and Advanced UT methods like AUT,ToFD and PAUT in order to cross check Contractor performance
• 15+ years of hands on experience in Major Onshore Pipeline Projects and experience in Sour (region 3) gs pipelines.
