You will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient processing of gas from offshore fields—making a direct impact on production success and operational safety.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in maintenance, calibration, and testing of instrumentation equipment including fire & gas detection systems, shutdown/blowdown valves, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters.
- Strong knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems and nucleonic devices.
- Competent in using Maximo or similar maintenance management software for work order completion and reporting.
- Ability to work safely offshore following Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills within multi-skilled technical and operational teams.
- Experience working on both fixed and portable analyzers for flammable and toxic gas detection.
- Previous experience managing spares and testing gases for equipment calibration.
- Experience supporting projects with vendors and subcontractors offshore.
- HNC qualification in a relevant engineering or instrumentation subject.
- Compex certified.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the onshore/offshore oil & gas industry.
- Time-served trade apprenticeship in instrumentation or electrical discipline.
- Valid BOSIET/MIST certificate and medical clearance with no restrictions.
- Willingness to work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation with 12-hour shifts.
- Mobilisation from Norwich, with mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile or economy travel provided.
- Accommodation provided prior to offshore mobilisation if required.
