Offshore Rotating Engineer (Nightshift)

We are currently recruiting an HUC Offshore Rotating Engineer (Nightshift) for a Global Oil & Gas Operator on a contract until 30th September 2026 with potential to extend until the end of December 2026.

Conditions:
  • 12-hour days
  • Even time roster offshore (3&3)
  • Nightshift (as required)
  • ASAP start
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • To deliver the Project Offshore Commissioning / Start-Up in accordance with the project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability.
  • Supports the offshore Rotating Construction/Hook-Up, Commissioning and Start-Up activities on the clients offshore assets and associated Brownfields systems to the operations team
  • Supports the HUC Rotating Superintendent and Offshore Rotating HU, Commissioning and Start-Up team members to ensure delivery in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the HUC Rotating Superintendent and support the Rotating team to complete the offshore commissioning and start-up of the compressor subsystems following the project schedule and priorities for handover to the operations team.
  • Liaison with the discipline techs and operations team and other stakeholders to ensure scopes are well defined and any queries or concerns are addressed.
  • Support coordination of third-party service Contractors (E.g. Baker Hughes, Sulzer etc) carrying out hook-up and commissioning activities offshore.
  • Commissioning and commissioning methodology (based on OPERCOM).
  • Attend PTW/SIMOPS daily meetings (as required) and assist in raising/verifying work permits / RA for scheduled discipline scopes.
  • Ensure that all Offshore commissioning and Start-Up works are carried out in compliance with the relevant Company Standards and Guidelines
  • Ensure all as-building / close out activities are completed. (E.g. Check of RFC and RFSU dossiers and handover to Operations activities.

Skills & Qualifications Required:
  • Tertiary Engineering Degree or Trade Certificate with significant Leadership and or Management experience.
  • Valid BOSIET
  • Valid MSIC
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with experience in engineering and/or commissioning supervision and management on large oil & gas projects
  • Experience in Rotating Equipment with significant experience with Baker Hughes compressors
  • OPERCOM and ICAPS Commissioning Management System
  • Offshore Module installation experience
  • Engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, hook-up andcommissioning.
