Our client, a major independent E&P company, are currently hiring an Onshore Project Specialist to join the team in Aberdeen.
Purpose of Project Scope:
The purpose of this Scope of Work is to define the deliverables, responsibilities and experience required to successfully lead the onshore scope of the project during the Define & Execute Phases. The appointed contractor will be responsible for managing all onshore engineering, procurement, and delivery activities, via the onshore facilities operator and appointed contractors ensuring alignment with the technical, commercial, regulatory, HSEQ, cost and schedule requirements.
Project Requirements:
• Responsible for the development and delivery of the onshore scope for the project (southern North Sea gas fields).
• Responsible for the definition and development of the onshore system design to meet the onshore requirements, via the onshore operator and appointed contractors
• Manage vendors and contractors to ensure the onshore scope is optimised, technically assured and delivered safely on time and on budget
• Develop with the HSEQ specialist the specific onshore HSEQ requirements for the project and manage these throughout the project
• As required provide input to all Regulatory requirements, including the Field Development Plan (FDP) and Environmental Statements (ES EIA)
• Responsible for onshore risks costs & schedule.
• Prepare and submit all required stage-gate documentation under the PPMS framework for all onshore scope.
• Input into the commissioning and start up process and procedures for the Project
• Provide input to onshore progress reports, costs, trackers, and updates to the project steering group.

Maintain Milestones in line with Approved Project Plan
• Start/Finish FEED (onshore scope)
• ES/EIA Submission (onshore scope)
• FDP/ES/FID approval
• Onshore Detailed Design contract awards
• Onshore Long Lead contract awards/delivery
• Onshore MC1/SH1 1st gas
Principle Challenges:
• Manage a diverse team of contractors, engineers and shared support resources.
• Manage/support refinery operators and appointed contractors, vendors to ensure onshore project requirements are met
• Safe and timely delivery of the onshore scope within budget.
• Ensuring technical assurance including verification for onshore engineering and design deliverables.
• Managing multiple interfaces (platform, refinery, subsurface, wells, regulatory, commercial, operations).
• Ensuring onshore compliance with UK regulatory, HSES, and environmental requirements.
• Manage and minimise onshore project changes/deviations to the base scope, and correctly assess the consequences of all changes
Contractor Requirements:
• Engineering degree qualification
• Minimum ten years proven track record in the successful delivery of capital projects from FEED through to production including onshore scopes
• Experience with UKCS regulatory submissions and subsea HSES compliance.
• Skilled in risk management and cost/schedule management.
• The project Team will be located in Aberdeen full time with travel as required
