Production Geologist / Project Geologist
NES Fircroft are working with a leading Australian Gold producer who are also developing and exploring across a significant regional portfolio.
  • 8:6 Roster FIFO Perth
 Kick‑start the next step in your geology career with a hands‑on Production Geologist/ Open Pit Mine Geologist role, where your work directly influences daily mining performance.


The Role

As a Production Geologist, you’ll be at the centre of orebody interpretation, grade control and operational decision‑making. Your insights will help deliver safe, efficient and profitable mining. 


What You’ll Be Doing
Grade Control
  • Own the daily grade control workflow to keep mining aligned with plan.
  • Lead GC sampling and bench/wall mapping to sharpen understanding of mineralisation.
  • Produce high‑quality GC logging.
  • Design ore blocks that maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
Reconciliation & Data Quality
  • Analyse ore block and blast bench reconciliation to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high data integrity through rigorous QA/QC and discrepancy resolution.
Geology & Planning
  • Feed geological insights into mine planning reviews.
  • Support lithology, structure and mineralisation modelling for accurate GC models.
  • Apply QA/QC protocols to ensure consistent, reliable geological data.

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Geology or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in mining geology (gold preferred).
  • Exposure to Vulcan, Leapfrog, acQuire or Deswik.
  • Understanding of wireframing, modelling and QA/QC processes.
