Job Title: Operational Integrity Management Systems Advisor
Location: Calgary, AB
Length: 12 Month contract to start
Rotation: Mon-Fri, 8hrs per day
Description
The Contract Operational Integrity Management Systems Advisor supports the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the client’s Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS). Working across corporate and operational teams, this role ensures the management system is aligned with regulatory and internal requirements while strengthening conformance, assurance readiness, and execution through coaching and engagement.

Description
The Contract Operational Integrity Management Systems Advisor supports the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the client’s Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS). Working across corporate and operational teams, this role ensures the management system is aligned with regulatory and internal requirements while strengthening conformance, assurance readiness, and execution through coaching and engagement.
Management System & Governance
- Maintain and improve COIMS standards, procedures, and supporting tools.
- Identify gaps and variability in system application and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain LOD1 self-assessment tools aligned with COIMS expectations.
- Apply project management practices to COIMS and H&S improvement initiatives.
- Monitor internal and external best practices and share insights with stakeholders.
- Support assurance preparation, scoping, and readiness activities.
- Conduct entity assessments, deep dives, and conformance reviews.
- Analyze performance and self-verification data to identify trends and risks.
- Support development and closure of corrective actions.
- Build COIMS capability through coaching, workshops, and targeted guidance.
- Engage leaders to reinforce accountability and system ownership.
- Prepare assurance packages and supporting documentation.
- Capture systemic learnings and recommend enterprise-level improvements.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12–15+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of management systems and assurance practices
- Formal management system or auditor training (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Auditor experience or certification
- CRSP or other safety certifications
- PMP certification
- Equivalent combinations of HSE, audit education, and field experience
