Piping QC Inspector / Supervisor
Project: Greenfield Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Facility
Role: Piping QC Inspector / Supervisor
Role Summary
Responsible for field QC inspection and verification of piping systems from construction completion through line walkdown, hydrotesting, reinstatement, flushing/drying and final handover.
The role will work closely with Construction, QA/QC, Completions and Commissioning teams to ensure piping systems are fully inspected, tested, documented and ready for Mechanical Completion and system handover.

Role: Piping QC Inspector / Supervisor
Role Summary
Responsible for field QC inspection and verification of piping systems from construction completion through line walkdown, hydrotesting, reinstatement, flushing/drying and final handover.
The role will work closely with Construction, QA/QC, Completions and Commissioning teams to ensure piping systems are fully inspected, tested, documented and ready for Mechanical Completion and system handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed line walks against P&IDs, isometrics and piping test packs to verify construction readiness.
- Verify piping installation, supports, valves, flanges, vents, drains, blinds, instruments and other components are correctly installed.
- Identify and record construction deficiencies and punch items prior to testing.
- Review and verify hydrotest test packs, boundaries, test limits and associated documentation.
- Witness hydrostatic/pneumatic testing in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications.
- Verify test reinstatement following successful pressure testing.
- Walk and verify lines for final reinstatement, ensuring correct removal/installation of blinds, temporary spools, test equipment and components.
- Coordinate and witness flushing, cleaning, blowing and drying activities as applicable.
- Verify reinstatement against approved P&IDs, isometrics, valve lists and test packs.
- Confirm completion of required inspections, NDE, pressure tests, flushing/drying and reinstatement records.
- Manage and track piping punch items through to closure.
- Support final system/sub-system walkdowns and Mechanical Completion certification.
- Ensure piping systems are in a condition suitable for handover to Commissioning/Operations.
- Maintain accurate QC records, test packs, inspection reports and handover documentation.
- Coordinate closely with Construction, Completions and Commissioning to achieve planned system handover milestones.
- Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, ITPs, approved procedures and HSE requirements.
- 8–10+ years' experience in piping QC inspection on major oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, refining or process projects.
- Strong field experience with hydrotesting, reinstatement, flushing, drying and piping system handover.
- Experience working with piping test packs and system/sub-system boundaries.
- Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, plot plans and valve/instrument lists.
- Good understanding of piping construction, welding/NDE, pressure testing and reinstatement requirements.
- Familiarity with punch-list management, MC and commissioning handover processes.
- Relevant QC inspection certification such as CSWIP/AWS, API 570 or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong field leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to direct and coordinate inspection activities with construction teams.
- Experience on greenfield EPC projects preferred.
