Piping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising piping fabrication, installation, welding, testing, mechanical completion, and turnover activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report EPCM performance e.g. KPI, Risk, Progress, EPCM dashboard
- Supervise and coordinate all piping construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project requirements.
- Monitor piping fabrication, installation, fit-up, welding, NDT, pressure testing, reinstatement, and mechanical completion activities.
- Ensure all work is executed safely and in accordance with project HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and refinery safety regulations.
- Review construction drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, work packs, and method statements for execution.
- Coordinate daily activities with Construction Managers, QA/QC personnel, Field engineers, EPCM, and client representatives including Operation team.
- Monitor work progress and identify potential delays, constraints, or construction conflicts, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Coordinate inspection activities with QA/QC personnel and ensure timely completion of inspections, punch list clearance, and turnover documentation.
- Reviews EPCM contractor area schedule and near-term look-ahead plans, identifies concerns and assesses compliance with project overall schedule
- Supervise subcontractors and field workforce to maintain quality workmanship and productivity.
- Report work progress, manpower utilization, safety observations, and construction issues to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure all as-built information, red-line markups, and construction records are properly maintained and submitted.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, safety meetings, and construction planning sessions.
Qualification:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Piping Construction works
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR High Diploma Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Additional certification in piping construction, welding inspection, or project supervision is an advantage
- Direct Experience in Oil & Gas Construction is preferable.
- Proven experience in supervising fabrication, erection, testing, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion of piping systems.
- Good in using Smart Plant 3D or Navis work 3D.
- Good understanding of piping drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and piping specifications.
- Familiar with ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, and applicable international codes and standards.
- Good human relationship with service mind.
- Ability to review and execute construction work packs, method statements, risk assessments, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Strong knowledge of refinery construction safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Good in writing, reading, and speaking English.
- Good in Slide presentation preparation
