Position: Pemba Base Manager
Location: Pemba / Muxara Base, Mozambique
Start Date: April 2026 
Status: Residential Rotation - 28/28 days 

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as RSES (Responsible for Safety & Environment on Site) for all Pemba Base locations (Muxara base, representative office, port jetty, airport).
  • Lead on-site emergency response activities in line with the affiliate ERP.
  • Define and implement HSE objectives; organize safety meetings, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and HSE tours.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company Management System, statutory regulations, and audit findings.
  • Oversee all logistics operations: yard management, warehousing, quayside operations, marine logistics, aviation/crew change operations, and land transport support.
  • Manage refurbishment and maintenance of all base facilities.
  • Supervise key logistics contracts (base services, camp services, offices, warehouses).
  • Conduct Service Quality Meetings (SQMs) with logistics contractors.
  • Coordinate logistics support for drilling operations and other entities including M&S.
  • Ensure accurate stock monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting across all sites.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports including KPIs for logistics operations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous coaching of local logistics teams.
  • Manage contractor timesheets, AFPs, and invoices ensuring alignment with services delivered.
  • Contribute to annual budgets and work closely with Cost Control and Logistics Manager.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Management Sciences or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G logistics and materials management.
  • RSES training and certification (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Yard & warehouse operations
    • Base infrastructure management
    • Marine, aviation, and land logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of SAP (SCOT, UNISUP/UNISOL – MM & RLM modules) preferred.
  • Strong command of English; Portuguese and/or French desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE standards, O&G procedures, and regulatory requirements.
