NES Fircroft are partnering with a leading rare earths/mineral sands resource client to source a Process Control Specialist to join their site based teams in the Midwest area of WA. This is a residential role based out of Geraldton WA where relocation support will be offered for the successful candidate.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering 
  • Experience configuring and maintaining a DCS environment including: engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems , control modules, and I/O systems.
  • Proficiency in optimizing control strategies, managing system configurations, performing network and controller diagnostics, and supporting lifecycle upgrades
  • Strong knowledge of networking, virtualized server systems/operating systems and workstation management.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, control loop tuning, and process automation standards, along with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
 Job Role
  • Provide technical support for plant process control systems and network infrastructure at operational sites.
  • Perform programming and configuration changes for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems to support upgrades and operational improvements.
  • Troubleshoot control systems to minimize downtime and maintain plant integrity whilst also contributing to continous improvement of relevant automation/control systems
  • Ensure the safe and compliant operation of plant equipment and systems
