Reporting into the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of processing operations across a significant gold processing plant. You will lead a team of approximately 80 personnel, ensuring operational performance, safety, and continuous improvement objectives are achieved.
This is primarily a business-as-usual operational leadership role, focused on maintaining plant performance and driving team effectiveness.

The Role
Reporting into the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of processing operations across a significant gold processing plant. You will lead a team of approximately 80 personnel, ensuring operational performance, safety, and continuous improvement objectives are achieved.
This is primarily a business-as-usual operational leadership role, focused on maintaining plant performance and driving team effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead processing operations to safely achieve production targets
- Drive a strong safety culture and operational discipline across the plant
- Manage and develop supervisors, coordinators and operational teams
- Optimise performance across crushing, milling, CIL and gold recovery circuits
- Monitor production, quality, recovery and cost performance
- Support budgeting, planning and cost control activities
- Collaborate closely with maintenance and technical teams to maximise plant availability
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive gold processing experience in a leadership capacity
- Experience as a Processing Superintendent or equivalent senior operations role
- Strong background across:
- Crushing
- Milling
- CIL processing
- Gravity gold recovery
- Leaching circuits
- Proven ability to lead and develop large operational teams
- Strong safety leadership and people management capability
- Commercial awareness with experience managing operational budgets and performance metrics
